About Me: I joined Marywood Graduate Admissions in January 2010, but started my career in admissions in 1991 at Central Pennsylvania College near Harrisburg. After seven years in admissions, I received a Master's degree in Counseling from Shippensburg University and took a job in Career Services at the university. I remained in this position for seven years before making a career change and purchasing a Rita's Water Ice store in Dunmore in 2005. I purchased another ice cream shop called That Shake Place in Mount Cobb in 2006, which I still own and operate. I've missed working in the collegiate environment so much so I came back to do what I love most - helping students!
My Hobbies: I love to golf, sing, watch and play sports, play with my dog Daisy, and go for dinner and to the movies.
My Favorite Thing About Marywood: The students. I've always been impressed with the quality and character of Marywood students. I've had numerous Marywood students work at my ice cream stores and they've always had a strong work ethic and are people of high character.
My Favorite Place on Campus: Any place I get the opportunity to have a positive impact on students.
You'd Never Guess: My other career used to be a singer. I've sung at over 200 weddings, at resorts on the East and West coast, Las Vegas, as well as the National Anthem at many NFL and College football games.
My Best Advice: When situations go wrong, always believe that things are actually better than they appear because they typically are. A positive attitude in life will go a long way toward shaping and delivering a better future.
